I want to have a wiener roast in October. I want to invite all my
friends and everyone can bring a dish and we can just talk and laugh
all evening into the night. I have a friend with a guitar (dan
huscusson, he has the first song on the compilation I have chosen) and
he can sing as long as he wans to, and fun will be had by all.
There could be a wagon ride up into the woods and little kids would
love that. I just want a night of fellowship and fun. Doesn’t that
sound great? Of course we would have it at my grandmother’s farm,
coz that is where Mom and Dad are, and I want them to be able to enjoy
it also. I might have to further this plan along. When I came home from work last night, my husband said with a great
deal of awe in his voice, “That black dog sure is one TOUGH son of a
(gun)!”
I asked what brought on this new found respect for the four legged
destruction crew. he looked at me, with a tired, resigned look,
and said, “Well, I ran over him today and you can’t even tell it.”
?
He went on to say, while I was recovering from that simple statement,
“I looked for any dogs laying under the car before I got in. I
didn’t see any. I backed up and got a sick feeling as I felt first one
bump and then a second. Then the lughead was walking away toward
the pine tree and he was only limping slightly.”
I remembered Boomer coming out from under the pine tree when I went out
of the house an hour later and he was just as goofy as ever and I
noticed he wasn’t limping. I noticed this because he has been
limping on and off for the past three weeks.
But I had to go to the door and call Boomer in just to make sure he was
okay. I checked him all over and he was fine!Maybe it’ll slow him down some. On our morning walks he sometimes
likes to drag me, if i’m not paying attention. Too bad it won’t
keep him from chewing up everything that isn’t nailed down. I
bought five pots of mums last week. I did not put them out in my
flower garden because anything I put in the ground my “groundskeeper
“ takes right back out. And then lays there with the plant
between his paws and that silly pink tongue hanging out the side of his
mouth. So I put them up on the table outside the
front door. There were five until Friday. Then one
disappeared. ……
Mike found remnants of it scattered in the back yard and the pot torn
up all over the place! But at least that was the only thing this
week. Hey! things are looking up!I was going to write in my blog every day, but Thursday I worked 21 and
1/2 hours! I worked from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the group home,
supposedly just a med pass. That’s a whole rant in itself.
Then I was at the nursing home from 2:30 P.m. until 7
a.m. on Friday. Reason being , the midnight nurse called off and
there was no one to replace her. So i stayed over. I called
Mike at work and told him not to expect me home that night and he
said I needed to be careful and not get sick. At
about 4 a.m. I started getting a sore throat and by the time
7 rolled around I was well on my way to having the
virus everyone at the nursing home has! So I slept
all day and most of Saturday. Then I went back to
work at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Yesterday, I tried to catch up
with some (very little) house work, then off to work. I had today
off and went to visit the parents. It was fun, and the food was
great! I work tomorrow afternoon then again at 11 p.m. on
Thursday. Hopefully no more doubles for a while.I have also started the President’s Fitness Challenge
again. I started once back in January, but was forced to quit
after five weeks due to health problems. This time I am making
sure I am taking all my supplements so I don’t faint again.

That is one tough dog. Poor thing. Maybe the care running over him fixed what was out on his leg that was causing the limp. Maybe after the soreness wears off a bit he’ll be good as new. Would be nice if he wouldn’t chew up all your plants. He must be a minimalist groundskeeper. LOL Try not to work so hard. HUGS
Back at ya!!

Poor Doggie! He sounds like a really laid-back goofy kind of dog. I guess he keeps you busy in your spare time(what spare time, you ask…) At least he gives you somewhat of a distraction from your work ….
Hillary conducting an investigation of G-D? Hmmm. I guess she might since she doesn’t really like anyone who might have more power than she does…..LOL
Did you hear anything about her opening her home to those left homeless( I can’t use the word “Refugee”) I didn’t either…She has a pretty fancy home in NY state and she is never there.
OMG! He ran over the dog!!?? That in itself is scary enough. But, that the dog is up and walking around is even scarier!! Are you familiar with Stephen King’s “Pet Cemetery”….
He ran over the dog? Oh my oh my LOL I know it is not funny but Oh my oh my.
