Urethra! (nod to the Angry
Beavers) I think I may have a bit of a clue as to why Rog and I
have been disagreeing so much lately. He is a verrrrrrry allergic
person and this is ragweed season, one of his greatest
irritations. You would think, having lived with him all his life,
that I would remember this…but alas, I evidently only live in the
minute. I eventually figure it out.He is home from school today because he has two huge lumps on the back
of his head that must be lymph nodes or sinuses. He has a
headache and nausea. He’s got a doctor’s appointment at 11. At
least since he had his uvula removed in December he isn’t missing
school as often. I think he had the flu once and then
today. Not bad.Throughout his school history (12 years) he has missed at least two
days of the first week of school and then an average of 17 days per
school year, all due to illness. He at least attended 5 full days of
school this school year before missing!! I know it doesn’t sound
very impressive at all but this is unprecedented. Allergies are a
bitch for him.And he likes school this year.
He came home from visiting his girlfriend last night and was stressing
over the fact that gas may go up to $3.50 per gallon. He was also
concerned about the Katrina aftermath. I listened to his concerns
and told him he would still be able to visit his friends and go to
practice. He calmed down.My heart and prayers go out to all those affected by Katrina. If
I weren’t working, I would volunteer to go down to help out with
medical concerns. I will just have to see what I can do from here.Have a good day!

Poor kid! Allergies are SOOO awful! I will keep him in my prayers and let us know what the doc has to say.
I have been thinking the same thing, about wishing I could go down and help medically with all the folks effected by Katrina. But, I just can’t see my docs saying this is a good time for me to be traveling…ya know…bum ticker and all. I have always wanted to do volunteer work for Doctors Without Boarders. Who knows, maybe someday I will!
Oh, the ragweed season! I have a joke to go along with that, I may share it in the next day or two.
Thanks for the Birthday Wishes! It was a good day.
Thanks so much for your sweet encouragement. And for the record, I really try hard to keep the drama down. Gosh, I have enough drama going on in the lives of those around me without adding any to it. LOL Hugs!
well its good to know thats what it was…but hard for Roger! I’ll keep him in my prayers…God bless you all
